What did you notice that you didnt expect? The bible verse is what I noticed that I did not expect that Jonathan Edwards would refer to it in the beginning f his writing.
What did you notice that you cant explain? I cannot explain the concept of making philosophies instead of the holy scriptures. It is not clear whether Edwards implies that individuals ought to only be based on the religious contexts and ignore their thinking about philosophies.
What is missing? There is a missing comparison of what the past was like for Christianity. Comparing early days and present is key in understanding how things exist the way they are.
