April 2009 170 120 14 Additional information: (i) Bank Balance on 1 January 2009 is expected to be RM5,000. (!!!) (!!) (iv) 50% of sales are on credit. Payments from debtors are received two months after transaction takes place. 20% of purchases are made immediately and the balance, one month later. Overheads are paid one month in arrears. (v) Wages per month amounts to RM5,000 and are payable in the same month. (vi) (vii) (viii) (ix) (x) Rent is RM100,000 per annum payable quarterly in advance on 1 January, 1 April, 1 July and 1 October. Depreciation is estimated at RM,3,000 per month. Corporation Tax of RM12,000 is due in February. A new machine was purchased in December 2008 for RM130,000 for which a deposit of 10% was paid. The balance will be paid in two equal installments on February and March 2009. The business is expected to receive a business development grant amounting to RM100,000 from the government in March 2009. This will be receivable in four equal amounts on 1 March, 1 June, 1 September and 1 December of 2009. Required: (i) Prepare a cash budget for SPB for the first 3 months of 2009. (26 marks) (!!)
