Specific Heat and Latent Heat of Water

You have a rather unusual cooking pot in that it is square, measuring 25 cm on each horizontal side. You fill this pot with 12 cm (vertically) of water. You let the water rest until it is at room temperature, which you determine to be 20 DEGREE CELCIUS. You turn the burner on full, and you've got a good stove so the burner is rated at 3,000 W:

(a) The water needs to heat from 20 DEGREE to the boiling point as it receives energy from the burner (you are at sea level, so the boiling point is 1000C). How long it will take for water to reach the boiling point?

(b) You forgot to turn the burner off. How long will it take for the water to completely evaporate (assume the volume of water that gets evaporated is the same as the initial volume)?

(c) How much energy, in Joules, did you stovetop have to produce to heat up and evaporate all that water? 2 marks (d) For September, 2023, EPCOR charged 7.68 cents/kWh (kWh is a kilowatt x hour). How much did you have to pay for doing steps (a) and (b)? (Hint: check EPCOR's units carefully; they are units of energy)
