Sports Psychology: make "portfolio" of their personal two best examples of engagement, and one best example of a fellow classmate's engagement. These examples can come from a variety of sources, such as class discussions, attendance and attending office hours.

PERSONAL EXAMPLE #1

The first example of my engagement is attending lectures. Considering the interactive environment and being able to learn from the professor, different athletes and their experiences and videos has helped me implement the course concepts into real life application which helps me grasp faster.By asking insightful questions and providing constructive feedback to each other, I contributed to a dynamic learning environment that benefited the entire class.

PERSONAL EXAMPLE #2

The first example of my engagement isattending office hours like the Assignment 1 review session was helpful to understand academic writing research and better understand the expectations to get a higher grade.

Classmate Example

I found the sports story regarding stress particularly helpful because it incorporates the psychological construct of 'stress' which relates to my sports story assignment. He talked about how when he was younger, he used to play baseball which was stressful for him. For a reason, every baseball game, he always throw up. But, their parents thought it was the food he was eating but they later found out it was because baseball is very stressful, being there, hitting the ball on stage. He ended up quitting sports and ended up doing martial arts and rugby. He finds contact sports and a great way to express stress to fight somebody, which really helped, like team aspect of rugby, you do not have to rely on yourself, you can rely on your teammates, while baseball it is all on you. Especially considering that I had no experience being an athlete, I think not only I am able to better understand the concept but the struggles of being athlete and how to cope with different stress and emotions.
