Stacey is very timid and does not interact with other children well. On a few occasions Stacey has arrived with several large bruises which the carer has explained as accidents that had occurred whilst Stacey was attempting to walk by herself.

The contact visitor Stacey's mother Kathy often arrives late smelling strongly of stale alcohol and appearing dirty and unwashed. When she arrived today for the contact Kathy had bloodshot eyes and was very drowsy. Kathy said she had not slept well that night and was getting the flu.

Kathy's boyfriend Ray arrives at the park with a teddy bear for Stacey. Stacey puts her arms out to him for a cuddle.
