Starbucks has maintained a hierarchical entry mode entry mode for all of its stores to ensure control and customer contact.

In a recent CBC article in class, Starbucks announced closure of 200+ stores in North and America and that they would open a series of kiosk stores that required the use of their mobile app to place food and drink order.
