State your assumption clearly 1. Determine the compressor frame size, number of stages, rotational speed, power requirement, and discharge temperature (for a centrifugal compressor(s)) required to compress 5,000lbm/min of a natural gas ( 80% methane and 20% Ethane) from 40 psia at 80F to 120 psia. (Consider the effect of T on Cp ). 2. A-standard-cell type agitator with a 1.5m-tank diameter is used to agitate a liquid with a density of 950kg/m3 and viscosity of 15cP. The turbine is operated at 60rpm. Use figure 1 to determine the power required if (i) A propeller (square pitch 3 blades is used) with and without 4 baffles (lines 4 and 3). (ii) Compare your result to a flat blade disc turbine ( 6 blades) with and without 4 baffles (lines 6 and 5 ) (iii) Scale up the results for a vessel whose volume is 5 times as large (baffled type) under the flowing two process objectives (a) where equal rate of mass transfer is desired.
