Step 1: Create the Semester Plan

In a calendar platform of your choosing Outlook, Google, or any other time management app you will input all of the deliverables for each of your courses for the entire semester. Make sure that the document is well organized, easy to follow, and uses either colour or categories to group each subjects deliverables.

Step 2: Identify Measures [KPIs]

The goal setting piece is integral to success. It is not enough to create a plan or schedule without identifying measures of success and key checkpoints to benchmark your progre

Key Performance Indicators [KPIs] are measurable values used by businesses to demonstrate how effectively they are achieving key business objectives. It is not always easy to decide upon initial KPIs and, as you will learn in Operations, this can be a fluid process.

Your goal in Step 2 of this assignment is to set out 4 KPIs for your semester that you will use to measure your progress for your first checkpoint in February. I will typically provide you with 2 KPIs and you will select 2 of your own that are speci measurable. Think SMART goals. Click this link to review what a SMART goal is: SMART GOALS

KPI 1: Set a GPA for completed assignments. This is for you to decide what GPA you will be trying to attain for your semester assignments; if you expect to earn a GPA of 4.0 on all of your semester assignments you will need to be earning no less than an 80% in all graded work; if youre working towards a 3.0 then no less than a 70%; 3.5 would require a mix of As and Bs. Use your GPA from previous semesters to set a SMART goal here.

KPI 2: Zoom/In class Attendance. Here you will set a SMART goal for the number of classes you will attend for each class. This means that once you set a number you must also keep track of the classes you attend each week using a weekly log[example below]. This number will be a weekly average: 100% means every class that week; 50% means if there are 6 classes in a week you will attend 3 of them.

KPI 3: Set a measurable goal of your choosing must be quantitative.

KPI 4: Set a measurable goal of your choosing must be quantitative.
