Stock Project - 25 points ACTG 3000 This purpose of this project is for the student to pick a stock of a publicly traded company and record that stock price once a week on the same day of the week so that at the end of the semester, the student will prepare a graph of that stock's price for the fifteen weeks. In addition, the student will write a brief summary of what impacted that company's stock price for that week. Instructions. 1. Pick a stock of a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ or New York Stock exchange and provide that information by 6:00 on the second class of the semester. There will be a drop box folder available in D2L. You can look up publicly traded stock via Marketwatch.com. 2. Once a week on the same day of the week, record the ending stock value which can be found on Marketwatch.com or various other online web sites. 3. When recording a stock price, also write a one to two sentence summary as to what you believe impacted the stock price. It could be something related specifically to the company, specific to the company's industry, or general market conditions. 4. The project is due on April 27. Your submission should include a graph of the stock price and a list of the dates that you recorded the stock price along with the one to two sentences of what caused the change.
