The allegation was that Chegg sold questions contained in Pearson books to the end users which was a violation of the latter's intellectual property rights. The complaint was filed in New Jersey and is awaiting determination. The legal issue was whether the act of Chegg selling answers contained in Pearson's work was an infringement. Am of the opinion that Chegg ought to have sought for consent.
