Everyone has a story! The Moth is an organization sponsoring live events in which people share stories about meaningful events in their lives. Stories at the Moth's website vary from about 5 minutes to about 15; some can be downloaded and watched, but most are audio files.

Visit The https://themoth.org/story-library/stories. Listen to one story and respond to the questions below. Name the story, and if possible, provide the link.

* Listen for character and write down:

-Who is the story about?

-What did you learn about him/her?

* Listen for the story arc and write down:

-Where does the story begin?

-Where does the story change?

-Where does the story end?

Listen for description. What are three instances of sensory images?

Listen for dialogue. How do the characters talk?

Characterize the narrative voice the storytellers delivery. Is it playful? Formal? Breathless? Somber? Some of each?
