STRUGGLING WITH MOTIVATION: MOTIVATIONAL PRO-TIPS, LIFE-HACKS, ANYTHING USEFUL BEYOND MY IMAGINATION.... :-D PLEASE?

Ok, my college-level math life-story in short: 8 yrs ago I went through Math. Analysis I & II, the nr. I was whole first semester, the latter the whole second semester.

And that was an extremely wonderful time for me: for the first time in my life (it was 1-2 year after I got undergrad degree from one of the so-called humanities field) the math started to make sense to me. I just started loving math bc - I guess - the college-level math is somehow demanding and mainly, it connects various high-school points far-away from each other, etc. At that time, the math suddenly started to make sense; I knew what's going on. The genuine awe got me. And in the end, I got pretty good grades (when compared to other schoolmates): C from I, B from II.

In short, for the first time I understood math, I stopped taking it like an annoying bug... causing I have to learn few simple formulas in 5 mins. before exam, use them and an hour later completely forgot them.

I didn't finish the school (electrical engineering) due to overwhelming work in my first "real" job at that time, basically I was starting my life-time career for the first time.

THE ISSUE: I started studying engineering again this fall (this time CS). It's been 8 yrs since that electrical engineering. And I cannot find in myself similar, or at least some, motivation for math. I still understand what the teacher is trying to present us. Yes, I feel I understand it very well. But I'm f*ng lazy to grasp a pen and figure up just a tiny amount of training examples. Not to mention learning something in the sense "I have to remember this or that":-( I wish that awe would come back. (Maybe later... numerical methods or linear algebra sounds like a lot of fun.)

Please, I don't want to some thorough essay what's going on in my mind. For this case, exceptionally, I want quantity, not quality. A lot of short bullet points would be the best, I think. It can be crazy ideas, I don't mind; I just want a lot of stuff to try.
