Stuart Hall and Cultural Studies theory is very concerned with media, who controls the media and how the media influences our society.  Think of a current and popular TV show or movie that is/has an effect on our culture.  Apply some of the concepts from Cultural Studies theory and explain what cultural studies theorists would say about this popular TV show or movie.  Be sure to explain yourself and your use of the terms from the theory.
