In your groups, review the following scenarios and determine what you think would be a fair spousal support order applying the factors in 3105.18. Type your responses into one group document and submit via Canvas.

You will be graded on not only the substance of your answers, but the answers must be clearly written and grammatically correct with no sentence fragments, no misspelled words, proper punctuation, correct use of words, etc.

1. Andrea and Kevin have been married for 35 years. Early in their marriage, Andrea worked while Kevin went to dentistry school but after he became a dentist, they started a family and by agreement, she stayed home to raise the children. Their four children are now all grown. Andrea has not worked outside the home since their oldest was born 31 years ago. She has cared for the home and done volunteer work since then. Kevin had an affair with one of his dental hygienists and asked Andrea for a divorce. Kevin makes around $400,000 a year. He is 60 years old and Andrea is 59. She completed college and was working as a teacher before the children were born but has not maintained her licensure. What do you think is a fair monthly order? How long?
2. Phillip and Debra have been married for five years. It is a second marriage for each of them. Phillip is 45 and Debra is 42. Phillip was diagnosed with ALS and is no longer able to work. Debra is an attorney and earns $150,000 per year. What do you think is a fair monthly order for spousal support? How long?
