Study this scenario:

You work for "Gamer PC," a company that manufactures high end laptop computers for serious video gamers. Your company is located in California. One of the companies you source components from, "Component Junkies" (CJ for short), is located in Ohio. Recently, a shipment of components you need to build your motherboards was delivered late and some of the components were damaged. When you contact CJ's customer service department, you are told that your contract states that you will provide insurance for the components from the time they leave CJ's warehouse, so they are not liable for any damage to the shipment. You dispute their disclaimer of liability. After some additional unpleasant communications, you realize you will need to sue CJ for being late and for the damaged shipment. The total invoice for the shipment was $82,500.
