Studying other cultures through a humanistic lens allows people to understand how different cultures came about and how and why people behave differently from one place to another (Lombrozo, 2015). This can be fascinating in itself, but this knowledge also empowers people to work together with others who hold views different from their own so that they may find solutions to small, everyday concerns, as well as significant, large- scale issues facing everyone around the globe.
