Summary:

Some key outcomes of this course include analyzing issues in relation to trade, and political aspects of the global economy, apply research techniques to locate, evaluate, organize and share information, as well as to apply critical thinking approaches to explain global economic issues and trade patterns. With this in mind, in this assignment students are challenged to individually examine the Canada United States Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), research its background (NAFTA), evolution, benefits & drawbacks of this Free Trade Agreement for one or all three of the countries involved, as well as at least one proposed solution to a drawback that the student will come up with themselves. Students will present their findings in a 2-page minimum critical analysis. This project is worth 20% of your course grade.

Critical Analysis:

After gathering information from your research, you should use your analytical skills, critical thinking and writing skills to perform a critical analysis of the issue.

Your research should be incorporated into your writing to support your ideas. The analysis should be original, based on all of the reading you have done. Ensure that you are properly citing your sources through the report. Excessive quoting or cut and pasting will result in lower marks.
