except D which is solid, in a reactor in which different streams are fed

of reactants A and B$.$ At the end of the reaction, the products $($C and D$)$ and the reactants

unreacted $($A and B$)$ are transported to a separation unit, where they are

introduces a stream of a solvent $($S$),$ capable of dragging the product $($C$)$ in such a way

so that it will be separated from unreacted A and B$,$ as well as from product D$.$

The solvent and product are sent to a distillation column where the

S vapors are discharged and pure product C is collected. Reactants A and B are

recirculated to the reactor, while D is discharged directly from the

separation.
