Suppose that the Designer on your project team abruptly resigned his position. Instead of filling the vacancy internally, you decide to procure the services of a well-known external consultant to assist with the user interface design.

a) Identify, briefly explain and justify your choice of procurement document(s) as the most suitable to solicit the consultant's services.

b) Once the consultant has agreed to join the project team, a contract for the procurement of his services would have to be drawn-up. Identify, briefly explain and justify which type of contract you would favour, assuming that you are looking to protect the project and the project team from as much risk as possible.
