Sustainable development Goals (SDGs) provde a holistic and multidimenstional view on development in it is noted that successful implementation of the SDG agenda is the only way forward to address the global sustainability challenge of ensuring human well- being, economic prosperity and environmental protection. During MIT7116 Lectures, a number of research concepts were discussed among which is the problem statement. Aproblem statement is the center piece that connects other sections in thesis. This is because it provides the a)rationale for the study ; and b) uses data and research to confirm the need to address the problem. There fore once a good problem statement is established, it lays the foundation and paves a wayfor other sections of the thesis. The process of writing a problem statement, however involves multiple decisions that are influenced by numerous factors.
