SWOT-analysis helps to analysethe business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that can affect the growth and success of a business which are the basic aspects of running a business efficiently. Besides all these aspects of business, SWOT Analysis recognizes the trends that influence the business(Rathnayake, 2018).For example, in Sainsbury, the emerging trends should be considered before succeeding in a business as it helps the business world and competes with the other competitors in the market. It is very important for Sainsbury to recognize the ways to cope up with emerging trends in the market and improve their services to meet the customers' demands. So that it helps the business to increase the customers base and grow the business successfully. Therefore, SWOT analysis can be used to recognize the business trends along with the other business aspects that influence the development of the business in the long run.

The external factors like political and the social changes or governmental legislations that might affect the business operations of Sainsbury directly can be considered as one of the significant factors that is covered by the environmental analysis.

The analytic tools help the business to identify and consider the present and the upcoming chances or hindrances that might impact business growth. Therefore with the help of analytic tools the business organization can conduct proper research and study the business graph and ways to develop the business successfully (Vlados, 2019).

The environmental analysis helps the organization to study the business market by recognizing the factors affecting the market like political, economic and social aspects. A complete the environmental analysis gives Sainsbury the opportunity to consider the political or the governmental policies and regulations that can affect the business directly as well as the social factors that might influence the potential customers(Sarsby, 2016).Along with this the economic condition of the environment which is responsible for the collection of profit and revenue for the company.
