Systems Thinking in Health Care Environments: MHA/505

Discussion Question: Select 1 University resource that you believe will be most useful to you and explain how it will help you in your education or your career.

I would like to respond to two classmate discussion posts that say this:

1. I believe I will benefit greatly from using Microsoft 365. I have access to PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. These are all resources that I will be using frequently in a business setting or in a management setting. I actually use all 3 frequently now. When I first accepted the position I work in now, I had no knowledge of how to use Excel, but now I think I can manage. However, at first, it was hard and a little stressful to learn. If I can give any advice I would recommend learning them now because not only will they be useful to us in our education, but in our career as well. I also think the writing center is great as well. I looked around and noticed there is a Masters template which i believe will be very useful to all of us. I tend to get nervous when I write my papers and have to reference, cite, and format. I second-guess myself a lot and I would love to be more confident in that area. I also feel great knowing that I can check my paper to avoid plagiarism. I feel like the University of Phoenix gives you all the tools to succeed in having this resource at your fingertips. The reference generator and citation generator are also great resources for us to utilize as well. I think sometimes I find myself having a hard time articulating myself in my papers so i feel confident in knowing that if I ever struggle with this, I can reach out to the writing center and can even copy and paste a part of my paper to get it evaluated by paperater.
2. I believe the citation generator, the university library, and the career services are the most valuable tools I use. Particularly, I love the access that we have to all of the resources to help with career advancement, development and resume assistance. Although I consider myself to be pretty good at writing, it is always a relief to know that we have experts on standby to assist whenever in doubt. The career advise and job search tools are amazing. It has helped me find more career paths that I can take within my degree program. I enjoy the feedback from other alumni and career professionals that are like minded to help steer me back on track when I feel myself wanting to change my degree program. The MHA program offers so many opportunities in the healthcare field and management field. You can operate a physicians office, work for the Military and the list goes on. There is no limit to administration and what you can achieve. I would love to continue to explore more tools as I move along in the MHA program and this course.
