In 1950, they jumped to 230,000 at an average price of $ 290 and in 1951 they continued to climb to 260,000 units even though the average price went up to $ 300. In 1952, sales dropped to 175,000 units and in 1953 they rose to only 180,000 despite the fact that average price remained at $ 300.
