1.Research this Target Company. Explore the company's website and other online sources including library resources. Do not simply copy company website.Find information and summarize it. Research topics should include all three types of information: numerical, financial, and general information. Examples of each include: Numerical: # of locations, # of employees, # ranked by Fortune/Forbes, etc. Financial (in US dollars): sales $, net income $, market share, stock price $. General company information: history, competition, trends in industry, leadership, company future plans.

Research is a critical element of the job search process. with information in hand, you increase the chance of finding the right opportunity and you impress the interviewers in multiple ways by demonstrating initiative, curiosity, research and analysis skills, an appreciation for the complex challenges of running a business, and willingness to work to achieve results.

Questions for Target Company Interviewer (to ask at close of interview): Prepare 3 questions for the interviewer about company/role, net salary, benefits, vacation time, growth opportunities, or questions about the personal career path and preferences of the interviewer. (Go beyond the basic and obvious questions).
