Task #5: Press Release Sample Greetings MPR Professional-to-be

First of all read Pages 128 till 134 from Chapter 8:

- As you should have read through the assigned readings, the press release, also called a news release (to encompass all types of media, not only print media), and it is the basic document of MPR.

a. The press releases primary objective is to act as the initial introduction to connectors about the subject you are promoting, and thereby evoke media mentions and word-of-mouth.

b. A common use is to announce a new product or service. This release includes a description of the product, reason for its introduction, explanation of the need it fulfills, and any interesting story behind its creation.

c. Press releases are also used to publicize good deeds of the company and/or its employees.

d. Additional reasons for issuing a release include opening new locations, relocation of an existing location, announcing a special event, announcing new personnel or personnel changes/promotions, recognition of good deeds performed for the community, public appearances by company executives or employees, announcement of awards, contest announcements or results, creation of inter-organizational partnerships, crisis control.

*What's required for this weekly assignment is to look for a Press Release that has been published within the last 30 days for any company of your choice.

Copy and paste the press release to a word document or take a screenshot and paste it to a word document then using the elements mentioned on page 128 to 134, clearly point out the elements that made up the chosen press release. Make sure to point out the missing elements, if there is any missing one.
