TASK A: Proposal for a Network Design and Planning for Home Network Scenario: You are given a task by a client to deploy a network in his house which has the following specifications: - Two-story detached house - 4 bedrooms on 1st floor and living room, kitchen, guest room at the ground floor. - Network connection need to be available in all areas of the house (including toilet). - There is different type of users with different usage scenarios: - Father is crazy scientist whom also good at programming and now crazy about Al related application. He spends good amount of time in front of the computer (doing work) while watching news stream, YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, Disney and so on (he has many monitors in front of him and many subscriptions to streaming service, some is pirated), Online banking, and video conferencing. - Mother is doing home business and mainly use the Internet for communication with customers and advertising the merchandise. - Children as usual use Internet, Online games, social media, and online tuition. - The cats need the Internet for their CCTV and the smart food container which is connected to the Internet. - They are also using Smart TV which is connected to Unifi service. - There is no existing network. You are required to use suitable Network Design and Planning approach and covers the following requirements and other requirements that you feel is important, use assumptions since you are not able to interview the end users (they are shy people). - Feasibility study (network scope, objectives, intended users, design assumptions) - Network needs analysis Data types Data sources Number of users and priority level Transmission speed requirements Load variation estimates Storage requirements Reliability requirements Security requirements - High level network design and network diagram (use suitable software to draw and explain the diagrams) - List of equipment and cabling, network types, etc. - Estimate the costing based on the information given above and use table to summarize and list all the cost. Although there is no ceiling or limit given, use common sense so that the family does not need to sell any body parts or organ to fund this network project. - List any challenges that you can foresee with the proposed network. - Summary of the proposal
