For the ticker symbol, see the attached document. 3) Observe the current stock details. 4) Click on "Historical Data" to view the past prices of the stock. 5) Select the previous five years as the Time Period by clicking on "5Y" or editing the "Start Date", and the "End Date". 6) Change the Frequency to "Monthly". 7) Click on "Apply" then click on "Download Data". 8) Open the data file using MS Excel. Keep only two columns: "Date" and "Adjusted Close". 9) Repeat the above steps for S&P500 index (GSPC) and copy the "Adjusted Close" prices only. 10) Calculate the returns (for both series) by using the formula: RIBOR where: Ri = holding-period return at time i Pi = (current) price at time i P.-1 = (previous) price at time i - 1 11) Calculate the beta of the stock using the SLOPE function.
