Taxpayer purchase the duplex. Taxpayer's family live in the bottom and his parents live in upstairs without rent fee. So i think downstair one does not have CGT consequence and upstair one have CGT consequence. Is it right? And if the tax payer rent out upstairs one there is any change?

If so, can you suggest the related taxation law?
