Teach and explain : Chemistry of Aromatic Compounds

Course Objectives: To expose students to the properties, preparation and reactions of

benzene derivatives. At the end of the course students will be able to predict products of

reactions of aromatic compounds, write reaction mechanisms for the different reactions, and

apply the reactions to synthesize different compounds.
