In the workplace, the Team Charter describes the norms of how the Project Team will communicate, and the responsibilities and authority of one or more team members. Unlike a Project Charter that is valid for only one project (sometimes called a Statement of Work), the same Team Charter may be used for many projects. Team Charters are internal documents that are not shared with the client. In this course, your project team will agree to the norms of behaviour and communication and document these in your team charter. This team charter will be for one course assignment/project. Once your instructor approves your Team Charter, your instructor will expect you to abide by it and will support you in its continued implementation throughout the course project. Instructions 1. Select or design a professional document format that you will use for this document and subsequent project documents 2. In your Team Charter, include each component below as a section with a heading. For example, "Project mission" 3. Your Team Charter must be Five hundred words long 4. Your team charter must be submitted by the due date and in .doc or .docx file format Components of your Team Charter 1 page that includes a. your prospective client's name. For example, "Client: Canadian Cancer Foundation" b. the name of your assignment or project. For example, "Fund-raising event: Yoga in Glenmore Park" c. the date of submission or due date of this Team Charter d. all team members' names e. your team's name (optional) f. your course number and section g. your instructor's name 2. Project mission: The mission should be clear, concise, and meaningful, and should reflect the key output(s) of the project. For example, your mission might be to "raise awareness of The Mustard Seed and how individuals can volunteer to support the organization," or "Plan and execute a safe and enjoyable fund-raising event at Joe's Batting Centre.
