Teamwork throughout any organization is an essential component of the implementation of TQM and process management, for it builds trust, improves communication, and develops interdependence. Teamwork provides an environment in which people can grow and use all the resources effectively and efficiently to make continuous improvements. Some of the activity team efforts that were implemented through teamwork are Quality Control Circle (QCC), Kaizen, and Cross-functional team.

The following table shows the problem and its countermeasure before QCC
implementation.

Problems before QCC Unplugging of the top seal cone area by swinging a hammer on the scaffolding was unsafe Reason The hammering location height was too high. The temporary scaffolding platform was shaky and unsafe. Countermeasure Workers were made to wear a safety belt. Remarks 1. Slipping possibility 2. Full concentration not attained while hammering 3. Humanly unsafe operation.
