It took Cando 6 months to go through the Request for Proposal (RFP) process to draft, finalize and issue the competitive RFP in the market. Though there was another vendor named Beta Inc that was very close in competition and had a lower price point and almost competitive service offering but was new in the marketplace and had little reference. But more importantly was a new firm and had no previous big digital delivery experience. Though their proposal was very compelling, and they had all kinds of expertise in their firm. But Cando Bank decided to go with Techno Inc as they felt they could risk manage and was more comfortable with them in spite of higher pricing.
Also Techno Inc had better Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Warranty offering as part of the contract. The Cando Bank procurement and legal also preferred their contract terms.
