• What is the problem definition?
• What is the background of the problem - how did we get here?
• What is the current condition or state?
• What are the most likely root causes?
• What is our desired condition?
• What are the risks and mitigations?

You can skip implementation and follow-up for now as we will further introduce those concepts in the course.

MoKTruk is a fast-growing electric car manufacturer based in Durban, South Africa, with an annual assembling capacity of 10000 units. Over the last six months, production has significantly reduced, affecting its revenues and overall growth. With the A3 knowledge learned in this module, create an A3 report that follows the instructions given below:

Step 1:Prepare an A3 report using the NXU style format constrained to a single A3-sized page.

Step 2:Include the components of the A3 report answering the following questions at a minimum. Each of these questions should become a header in your document.

• What is the problem definition?
• What is the background of the problem; how did we get here?
• What is the current condition or state?
• What are the most likely root causes?
• What is our desired condition?
• What are the risks and mitigations?

Step 3. Include references where appropriate. You are expected to include two references.
