These innovations have saved many lives, as well as eliminating or reducing wait times, decrease patient deductions, improvements in research, and bridge the gap of communication between health professionals. In the modern era, there have been developments and advancements in areas such as telemedicine, optical imaging for diagnosing diseases, healthcare robots, neural engineering, and biotechnology. Sustaining the health of a patient is a vital to all healthcare professionals; the development of medical equipment has a significant global impact on the health of all people. As a result of these technological advancements surgical procedures are less invasive, recovery times have decreased, and people are living longer. The implantation of a prosthetic limb, an organic organ, or devices such as a pacemaker are less complex today than a generation ago. With technological developments in MRI and sonograms, patient care has undergone drastic improvements. Only a few years ago X-rays were the only form of imaging, however, with the development of CT scans and MRI resources, examining digital information instantly and identifying threats to an individual's health has been critical. New advancements in mobile technologies have also been of great medical benefits. Devices such as smartphones, laptops, and tablets had bridged a communication gap between physicians and patients. These developments have also created a network in which health professional, providers, and facilities can communicate better. Information technology innovations in Electronic Medical and Health Records (EMR and EHR) and telemedicine have also had a huge impact. Patients now have the ability to connect with their physicians, hospitals, or other specialists remotely from anywhere across the globe. With telemedicine, it is now commonplace for a patient to converse with a doctor via Skype or other video conferencing methods. In conclusion, technical trends and innovations assist doctors in delivering better quality care and improve patient's lives. Through technological innovations, surgical procedures, medical communication, and disease prevention have all improved.
