"That settles it," George said to Helen when he finished talking with Fred. "Let's drive down there this weekend. I want to see things for myself, and we can check on Teresa's and Fred's units, too. They're as worried as we are. And if you go with me," George added grimly, "you can help me keep my temper if I find out something fishy is going on. If they've been jerking us around."
