The 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) held in Glasgow has set an ambitious target of Net Zero by 2050. For the power generation sector, one strategy to reach the goal is to use carbon-free fuels instead of hydrocarbon fuels derived from fossils or even biomass. In the present regenerative two-stage turbine power plant, a mixture of 60% hydrogen and 40% ammonia, by volume, is used as the fuel. This ensures that no carbon dioxide will be released by the power plant.
