The age limit of 35 to join the police force was lawful because the force also had a mandatory retirement age of 55. Salaberria Sorondo v. Academia Vasca de Policia y Emergencias (2016) 

Should both of these cases be considered unlawful age discrimination? Or is the second one justifiable because it includes a mandatory retirement age?
