The Air Force is continually searching for innovative approaches to maximize operational effectiveness. In the fuels career field, they are innovating how they implement special training with the use of virtual reality. Virtual reality itself is not a new technology, however, the use of it in Air Force technical schools is increasing the on-the-job knowledge of new Airman with in-depth troubleshooting scenarios, that eliminate environmental risk. Technological advancements have changed the culture of the Air Force in several ways. The first is presenting opportunities to build a culture of innovation.
