Your firm has signed a contract to excavate and dispose of 3,400 m3 of sand-silt soil. The job is to be completed within 9 working days. AVAILABLE HUMAN RESOURCES (YOUR STAFF) Your company can provide you with one supervision crew that can manage up to 1000 m3 of excavation work per day at a total daily rate of $300. AVAILABLE EQUIPMENT RESOURCES (TO BE RENTED) Item Available Capacity Cost Crews m / day $ / day Medium Size Crew 1 500 1100 Small crew 400 800 You can rent any or both of the equipment crews throughout all or part of the excavation period. However, using both crews will result in a site crowdedness problem which in turn decreases the capacity of the machines by 10%.
