The Asian Import Company (AIC) has 600 cubic feet of excess cargo space on its ships and has decided to import two new items: jade figurines and linen placemats.
Each container of jade figurines is 4 cu. ft. and will net a profit of $80 per container. Each container of lien placemats is 2 cu. ft. and will realize a profit of $60 per container. AIC expects no more than 140 jade containers of jade figurines available on any trip.
Additionally, AIC wishes to use no more than 480 man hours for loading, storing, and processing the items through customs. The normal estimate is that a container requires 2 man-hours. However, because of special agricultural restrictions, an extra 2 man-hours can be expected for the linen products. Use the EXCEL output and determine the number of containers of jade figurines should be shipped.
