This assignment allows you to demonstrate your understanding of the ANZSMM rules and measurement conventions and apply them to the measurement of areas and volumes. Task description: Prepare hand-written paper take-off for the following three trade sections (ONLY): - IN SITU CONCRETE - FORMWORK - REINFORCEMENT - Measure strictly in accordance with the relevant sections of the Australian and New Zealand Standard Method of Measurement of Building Works - 2018 edition (ANZSMM) and the specification notes provided. Check in the ANZSMM and be sure you measure only those items that should be included - but make sure you measure all relevant items for that trade section, with the exceptions noted below. - Ensure that waste calculations are correctly located and annotated. Show all waste calculations and make it clear how you arrived at any calculated dimensions included in the take-off. Where appropriate, provide sketches that show how you have derived dimensions. - Your calculations should support your answers and set out with each set of dimensions clearly identified. - Use figured dimensions wherever possible. Dimensions not shown on the drawings should be calculated as waste calculations. - Do not scale from the drawings unless you are certain that the dimensions cannot be calculated. Scaled dimensions are to be noted as such. - Use take-off paper for your calculations. Your takeoff is to be hand-written, in pen (not pencil). - DO NOT measure other trades such as Groundworks, Applied Finishes and Masonry - DO NOT include Preamble Items.
