The auditor's working papers are an important part of the audit process. Required (a) Discuss what you would expect to find recorded in the working papers in the permanent audit file and explain their purpose. i.e. (8 marks) - information on accounting policies - discuss why - ratios - discuss why - copies of all legal contracts/ loans etc-discuss why (b) Explain the importance of recording the details of the evidence examined by auditors during the audit process on which opinions are drawn.
