The authors of this study want to investigate whether coming from a low income family impacts whether someone attains some higher education degree or not (2 year degree on up). To do this they collected samples from a high income population and a low income population. There were 1520 people in the high income population and 3519 in the low income population. The number of people who attained a degree in the high income population was 752 while in the low income population it was 1286. The hypothesis of the researchers is that the high income population (P_H) will have a higher proportion of degree earners than the low income population (P_L). The significance level for this test is 0.001. In other words, the alternate hypothesis is that P_H> P_L
