The authors of this study want to investigate whether coming from a low income family impacts whether someone attains some higher education degree or not (2 year degree on up). To do this they collected samples from a high income population and a low income population. There were 1520 people in the high income population and 3519 in the low income population. The number of people who attained a degree in the high income population was 752 while in the low income population it was 1286. The hypothesis of the researchers is that the high income population (PH) will have a higher proportion of degree earners than the low income population (PL). The significance level for this test is 0.001. In other words, the alternate hypothesis is that PH> PL
