The balances in the Cashbook of R. Hinckson. at the 31st Dec 2020 were cash in hand $30,800 . The following transactions occurred during the month, and are to be recorded in the Cashbook where appropriate: -

1st Dec Paid Insurance for month $800, and purchased Office equipment $12,000 from A Roberts, paying cheque.

1st Dec Received from M Smith, a debtor a cheque for $5,000 in full settlement of his debt totalling $7,500.

2nd Dec Received payment of a loan of $ 3,000 and deposited $2,000 out of it into bank.

3rd Dec A Khan purchased goods for that day totalled $20,000 cash, and received a cheque for $10,500 from A. Carter a debtor.

5th Dec Deposited a sum of $15,000 including the cheques received to date.

6th Dec Cash purchase of goods for that day totalled $4,500, and paid an amount of $750 by cheque to A. Carter a creditor.

10th Dec Purchased goods for $10,000 on credit from K. George who promised to give a 5% discount if payment is made in two weeks.

15th Dec An amount of $50,000 was paid directly into the bank by J. Hinckson, who was given a 5% discount in full settlement of his debt.

15th Dec Withdrew from the bank $13,000 for office use, and paid wages for the week totalling $10,000 to its employees.

19th Dec Paid to J. Holder a creditor a cheque for $2,500 and received a10% discount in full settlement of the debt.

22nd Dec Sold to M. Murray goods totalling $10,500, who paid the amount in cash.

24th Dec M. Baggot paid a cheque for $8,000 and was given a discount of $500.

28th Dec Sold goods to Mark totalling $18,500, but was paid a cheque for $14,000.

30th Dec Deposited the cheques received to date and $20,000 into the bank.

31st Dec Withdrew $5,500 from the bank and paid the sum as salaries for the month.

31st Dec Paid to K. George the amount due and was given a discount of $500.
