The Blackout Coalition is building a database to store information on Black$-$owned

financial institutions as a part of their #BankBlack campaign. Each institution is identified

by a unique code and also has a name, URL, and classification $($e$.$g$.,$ bank vs$.$ credit

union$).$ If applicable, the database also records the name of each institution$$s insurer.

For instance, Adelphi Bank is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

An institution may or may not be a subsidiary of one other institution. A single institution

may have multiple subsidiaries, but is not required to have any.

Each institution may have multiple branches, though some are online$-$only and do not

have any branches. A branch belongs to exactly one institution. Branches have a unique

ID and address $($e$.$g$.,4000$ Gray Street, Suite B$,$ College Station, AR $72053).$

Standalone branches do not have unit$/$suite information. Branches also have a list of

services offered, like ATMs, personal loans, and$/$or notary services.

Financial institutions have at least $5$ individuals who serve on their board of directors.

Individuals have a unique ID$,$ name $($including first, middle, last, and suffix$),$ and race.

Some have just a first and last name. One individual may serve on the board of directors

for multiple institutions, and must serve at least one to be included in the database.

Whenever an individual is on the board of directors for an institution, the database tracks

their role $($if applicable$).$ For example, one individual can serve as the Chair of the board

for an institution and also serve on the board of a different institution with no special role
