When there is only one dependent activity, the arrow to the successor activity (child) is blue. When there are multiple dependent activities, the arrows to the children are light blue.

The time position of the left-hand side of each box exactly represents the start time of the activity, e.g., activities 201, 202, and 203 are all planned to start at the beginning of month 2.

The time of the end of the arrow exiting the right side of an activity exactly represents the end time of the activity, e.g., activity 201 is planned to end at the end of month 2, so that the dependent activity, 301, can start at the beginning of month 3.

The actual projected status of the project after month 5 is given in Figure 2.
