The case of Paraskevaides v. Four Seasons Washington and Ippolito v. Hospitality Management Associates and the courts' decisions concerning limited liability notice provision may be applied. The infra -hospituim may be used because an innkeeper is strictly liable for loss or damage to a guest's property "unless the property is lost or destroyed by an act of God, the public enemy, or by fault of the guest. Infra hospitium, according to law-dictionary.org, "Within the inn when once a traveler's baggage comes infra hospitium, that is, in the care and under the charge of the innkeeper, it is at his risk. A Law Dictionary, Adapted to the Constitution and Laws of the United States." In the cases of Paraskevaides v. Four Seasons Washington and Ippolito v. Management associates, both cases valuables and personal belongings were stolen from the guest's rooms. In the case of Paraskevaides, over one million dollars worth of jewelry was stolen from a convenience safe located within their hotel room. In the case of Ippolito, their luggage was in their room in which contained over $500,000 worth of jewelry and $8,000 in cash. I believe in both cases, it falls under infra hospitium in which the care of their belongings was left in their locked room under the supervision of the hotel. Although the Paraskevaides should have used the additional provided safe deposit boxes downstairs and the Ippolito's should have utilized the safe in their room, both cases had their belongings locked in their rooms.

-What would change if the property was stolen as the guest was in the process of checking in, checking out [i.e. packed in suitcase preparing for departure], or if the items were being moved by hotel staff due to extenuating circumstances?
