We have already came up with the story

Joseph Allen is a 26 year old Caucasian male who identifies as a straight male, born on May 5th 1996. Joseph is currently in a jail diversion treatment program that was court mandated due to his involvement in a single vehicle accident that resulted due to Joseph being high on cocaine and to have an above legal limit blood alcohol level. Due to Josephs previous 2 single car DUI arrests and with Josephs most current single car accident, being high on cocaine, and being above the legal limit in his blood alcohol level, Joseph has been sentenced to 1 year within the county jail and a mandated treatment for his SUD.

Client encountered major emotional trauma at the age of 13 when he was entered into the world of drug abuse/selling pertaining to marijuana. Client began using alcohol and marijuana simultaneously as he was consistently around older kids due to the age difference of himself and his older brother. Client first began using cocaine with his father being his first influence at the age of 17. According to client "My dad wanted me to know what cocaine felt like and didn't want me to do it alone so he did it with me and encouraged me to try it, it wasn't until later I realized my dad used to have a severe cocaine issue and that his way of prevention was actually the beginning of my substance abuse." Client also had a lack of foundational relationship with both his mother and father as he was resentful for the issues he encountered while living with his grandmother during the transition from CO to CA. Client has lack of an accountability for his substance abuse and alcohol abuse from both family and friends. Client consistently is around people who are having issues with law enforcement and also participate in alcohol and substance abuse issues.

Joseph currently lives at home with his maternal parents in a rural community of northern California. Joseph has a history of ADHD and PTSD that has not been consistently treated due to client refusal in both psychological help and clinical treatment. Joseph has not had a consistent work history in the past 5 years, consistently moving jobs within the same industry of construction after being fired from his long term job in 2016. Joseph was let go as a heavy machinery operator in 2016 due to smoking marijuana on the property. No official charges were brought forward, the company just noted he was not re-hirable due to this offense.

Joseph recognizes that his behavior will continue if he does not dedicate himself to following the treatment guidelines while serving out his sentence. Currently treatment protocol for Joseph is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, SUD Specific counseling, and 12 step Facilitation Therapy. All of these therapies are evidence-based therapies that have been shown to help reduce the recidivism rate of offenders released and prevent relapse.
