The CEO at Vodacom has appointed you as the lead project manager. For the duration of the project, the CEO has appointed you to report directly to him so that he can acquire first-hand information on the project as it progresses. The CEO has given you an ultimatum to deliver the project within 6 months. The scope of the project is to provide internet connectivity to Soweto, in Gauteng. Due to the large number of people that have to work from home, during COVID-19, the unavailability of internet connectivity has affected this imperative negatively. Your job as the project manager is to ensure that the planning of the infrastructure is undertaken, and then the installation is completed within the 6 month period, including the closure of the project. The main infrastructure are the masts to be installed at strategic points in Soweto. You will handle the full life cycle of the project and you will provide the necessary reports to the stakeholders as per the plan. Question 2 (20 Marks) As a project manager one of your fundamental tasks is to ensure that the problems of cultural differences are understood and the team that works on the project are not side-tracked by cultural differences problems.
