The CEO of US Steel, David Burritt, would like to learn about factors that influence the price of steel. He has heard about how talented the students are in the Duquesne University MBA Program and wants to have you all study factors that influence steel prices. He is also interested in receiving a forecast of steel prices for the next twelve months.

To help, he has collected monthly data from January 1934 through May 2021 for the following variables (due to data reporting lags, June data is not yet available):

PPISTEEL:Producer Price Index for Steel or Price of Steel (not seasonally adjusted)

IIP:Index of Industrial Production (not seasonally adjusted)

CPI:Consumer Price Index (not seasonally adjusted)

TBILL3:3-Month Treasury Bill Rate in % (not seasonally adjusted)

TREND:Trend

The Excel data set titled "Graduate Applied Statistics Quantitative Project Data" has all this data. Of course, you are all free to add any additional variables if you wish.
